Hardwood Floors
One of the fastest ways to rejuvenate almost any space is to replace the flooring with hardwood flooring.
Choosing the hardwood floor can be a difficult choice as there are many different choices to choose from. Some of the hardwood flooring choices are bamboo flooring, solid wood flooring, and engineered flooring. We can help you navigate that decision and then install it for you.
Laminate Floors
While hardwood flooring looks amazing, with new advancements in technology and new materials laminate looks as amazing as hardwood floors with a lower price.
Laminate flooring looks just like wood, tile or stone, without the cost, maintenance or wear and tear. It’s also designed to be scratch resistant and water resistant. This has become one of the most favorite flooring amount homeowners.
Vinyl Plank Flooring
Vinyl plank flooring is very similar to laminate flooring as it gives the flooring the appearance of hardwood flooring, but is virtually waterproof.
The vinyl plank flooring is a great choice to someone who wants a cost effective way to install something that looks luxurious and waterproof. Request flooring help if you need a free estimate to help guide you through the flooring options and installation.
Do I need an Asbestos testing?
Whether you are remodeling yourself or you are going to hire a contractor for your remodeling needs. Washington State and Puget Sound Clean Air Agency requires an Asbestos survey before remodeling can start.
“On July 12, 1989, the EPA issued a final rule banning most asbestos-containing products. In 1991, this regulation was overturned by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. However, as a result of the Court’s decision, only a few asbestos-containing products remain banned.” (EPA)
Currently USA does NOT have a ban on Asbestos-containing products and any product imported into USA can contain Asbestos. For this reason Puget Sound Clean Air Agency (PSCAA) requires Asbestos testing before renovations or remodeling.
“The Agency can assess a monetary civil penalty up to $18,388.00 per day per violation. If an economic benefit is realized by non-compliance, the penalty can reflect this estimated cost which is often non negotiable. Criminal sanctions may occur for a knowing or willful violation.” (Puget Sound Clean Air Agency)
Inhalation of Asbestos particles can be very dangerous to your health. Mesothelioma is a cancer that is linked directly and only to Asbestos exposure.
